Coventry Synagogue

My fellow Spinozists,
I am proud to announce that permission has been given in Coventry for the first Synagogue to be built in England. We are currently searching for a plot of land to build upon. I am also proud to announce that Lady Rebekah Bar Kochba will care for the synagogue as the Cantor until the time that we may ordain Rabbis.

This is good news. If I ever happen to have the chance to travel in that direction I shall be sure to stop by Coventry to visit.

The Coventry Synagogue will be opening for its first Shabbat this Saturday. This is a pivotal stage in our development, and I invite all my fellow Spinozists that can to RP traveling to Coventry in order to attend the first public Shabbat service in England.

Don't worry Jewbeard, the first will be start Friday/Saturday at reset where I will lead the prayers, please come over and help as we prepare the Synagogue.

Yes the Synagogue is opened and the first service has ended, unfortunately I must admit it was not handled well by myself, but it has given me ideas on where to go from here. If you would like to visit the Synagogue here is a link.

Well, I'll be in Coventry tomorrow (finally got around to traveling!), so I look forward to seeing the place, and perhaps helping out if it is still getting established. I may only be there a day, though, so we'll see how it goes.

The synagogue is no longer being run, as the person in charge left England and there was noone to take her place.

Ah - while I was visiting, I ran an informal service - we had maybe 6 or so people post in the thread. I can't say that I'd run it every week, but it was fun. I'd be willing to start one in Winchester (my IG residence), which I could run pretty reliably.
