PostSubject: Voting Procedures   Fri Mar 14, 2008 5:23 pm

In order to continue moving forward new voting procedures will be implemented. Now when a new concept has been completed within the Rabbinic Council the concept will be brought forth to each community. The community will have 10 days to discuss and vote upon the concept. At the end of the 10 days the vote will be counted and the majority of each community's vote will count as their vote. Each community has one vote. If a community is in the minority and they feel that they do not want to accept the procedure anyway, they may appeal it. They will be given 2 days to discuss their appeal and then the other communities will vote on whether the community may refuse to accept the concept.

Also the Rabbinic Council will be going through some changes. First of all, each community will now only have 2 representatives chosen by the community. Much of our work will be reorganized so it is more easy to for us to work in, and their will be an area for voting on concepts to be brought forth to the community.

I would like to remind everyone that the Rabbinic Council is a temporary group that is meant to help in the creation of our faith. In time new councils will be made according to a "charter" consisting of actual clergy.
